Most successful MLM distributors will tell you they get involved in the MLM business because of financial or health reasons. RCCA Mariam has a totally original reason. Here's her story.
Not content to be a homemaker
Mariam was a successful property agent before taking a break to spend more time with her children. As a wife, she already had an enviable life, with her husband running an established business. "We were already living in our dream house, driving our dream cars, and had a total asset of RM25 million," Mariam revealed. "But I didn't want to be just a homemaker!"
When Mariam considered resuming her property business, the thought of a hectic life and loss of time freedom horrified her. "Furthermore, the rules and regulations in the Singapore property business were always changing," she shuddered.
At about that time, Mariam was introduced to the MLM business. She figured it "might work", and her husband Anwar supported her decision.
The Direct Selling Megatrend
Today, Mariam and Anwar have been involved in the MLM business for over 17 years. "Years ago, economists predicted that direct selling would become a megatrend in the 21st century, and it's happening now! Direct selling has also become so much easier with the well-established infrastructure. With the internet, social media and instant messaging, anyone can run the business from home without big capital and business experience," she exclaimed. "You don't even need to source for top-notch products and supplier - you just need a top-notch company, like BE."
With over 40 years in his conventional business, Anwar couldn't agree more. "It took me about 15 years to finally get my aircraft spare parts business established. In that business, you need the experience, huge capital and many other crucial business factors to succeed. Every year, my business risk could be as high as S$1 million. You don't need to worry about all these in BE."
The inseparable trio
Already financially snug, Mariam and Anwar's goal in the MLM business isn't monetary wealth. Mariam explained: "As one of the pioneers in BE, our primary goal is to help our network and downlines succeed. Their success is our success. BE was founded with the sole intention of helping more people realise their dreams and making life meaningful for everyone. This is our intention too."
Helping people extends to helping them resolve their health issues. As a young student, Mariam dreamed of being a doctor. "Now, I'm living my childhood dream as a 'doctor' because BE has amazing products that help people regain health, and eventually wealth and time freedom. These three are inseparable!"
Mariam concluded with the proverb:
